Evidence the third Skin color Ok, ok. This is kind of a cop out considering they all have simikair skin tones. But the most alike are... This sounds absurd, but it means more than you think. You see, the height of a person is predicted by their GENES. The DNA they got from their parents. Were your parents tall? You got 2 tall genes. Only one tall parent? You have a possibility to be tall. So, how do I know they are the same height when the game makes Nstsuki look the size of yuri? I did the most surprising thing and.. READ THE WIKI And on it I got all the characters ages, heights, and a whole slu of information that I can tell is at least mostly factual. Of which, it says Sayori is 5 ft 2 inches and is 18 years old. So, what about monika? Even if you don't know the metric system, you can tell those heights are extremely close. Evidence the fifth How they act. Throughout the game until the end of part 1 monika shows extreme understanding and care for Sayori. Showing their close connection. Which could be friendship, but it could also be sisterhood. Sayori even shows the same toward Monika, trusting her enough to take her advice of killing herself. She says she was talking to Monika ALOT before killing herself. Which brings us to the kicker. The thing that stops this theory in its tracks. The thing that seemingly disproves all this work. In the game, both Sayori and Monika say they worked together on the project, VIA THE INTERNET. After all that work, it was one claim that stopped me... Here's what we have to remember; Sayori, Monika, and the rest of the girls are 18. We have no way to know how far they are into the year 18... So, who's to say that an independent girl like Monika moved away? Decided to live independantly. I would say Sayori moved.... There is no way her parents would let her move out. But, even if you accept that YET ANOTHER PROBLEM stands in my way. Your character is good friends with Sayori, but only knew Monika from the year before. All this work, all this research.... Trumped by ONE problem. All of this for nothing? There is, ONE way this could be possible. Monika says that when she was younger, she was different than she is now. Which is really vag... If she was shy as a child, and sayori was more of a free willed girl... And thus, forgot about her in his years of introverting. Why wouldn't sayori talk about monika? WHO SAID SHE DIDNT?????? The protagonist ADMITS in the beginning that he tunes out sayori and just agrees mindlessly. And this actually makes Monika's crush a little more understandable. Monika thinks Sayori is keeping this cute guy to herself. Thus, that's why no matter what you do, Sayori is the first to die. Because Monika has been jealous of Sayori's connection with you since the beginning. I hope you enjoy it!!! If Monika was so introverted and shy in her early years while Sayori is constantly outgoing and friendly, their personalities would clash and it would leave little room for similarities. So, if were going by your theory that Monika used to be an introvert, it would make sense they wouldn't share a close bond and would POSSIBLY go by a first name basis. Besides, throughout the game, it seems Sayori doesn't want anyone to care about her. It's possible Sayori pushed her away, weakening that bond again.. And, as a last thing, it's clear some things are lost on translation if you're playing the game in English.. There was one place in the game, I forgot where, when a character makes a joke and Monika remarks that it doesn't make sense in translation. Aka, Sayori may have referred to her as Nesan originally. Anywho, just random thoughts I had on this, sorry if I ended up being confusing.
